Description
The flexo printing technique is a very important printing technique.
There are three groups of flexo inks; water based inks, solvent-based inks and UV drying inks.
All these inks have their own properties. The water and solvent based inks dry very quickly, this makes handling these inks in the laboratory difficult.
These inks should not dry during the printing process. It is very important to have prints on substrates with an ink film thickness as on press to test the dry properties as e.g. colour, adhesion, light fastness and so on. Many of these properties are influenced by the interaction between the ink and the substrate.
