Accessory to execute Gloss tests on the Amsterdam, AIC2-5T200 and Global Standard testers 2 and 3H.
When ink is printed on paper the paper absorbs a part of the ink. In the offset process this property is very important. If the ink is absorbed too slowly or too fast, it may be the cause of problems. (See “Set off”). One of these problems can be the gloss. In this test method the gloss is measured as a function of the absorption.
The test be executed on the following IGT Printability testers:
- Amsterdam 1, 2 , 5 and 6
- Global Standard Tester 2 / 3H
- AIC2-5T2000
- AIC2-5
